 1st Grade News

Hi! I’m Jacqueline DiGiovanni and I am the first grade teacher here at Sacred Heart Area School. This is going to be my fourth year teaching.  Before teaching here, I worked at Motley Elementary as a paraprofessional in the Kindergarten room. I have gained great experience working as a Paraprofessional for the past five years, seeing how a classroom runs from a different perspective and feel more prepared to be the first grade teacher here at Sacred Heart.  I am very grateful and excited to be teaching here at Sacred Heart!

I’m working on completing my degree in Elementary Education through Southwest Minnesota State University.

I’m a graduate of Staples Motley High School and currently live North of Motley.  I’m married and have five wonderful children.  During my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends, go camping, work in my yard and gardening, travel, read, and watch movies.

I love being able to work with the students. I love when they retain what I have taught them and I can see the progress in them. Seeing their eyes light up when they get a new concepts is really exciting to see and I let them ‘kiss your brain’ with a Hershey kiss. One of my favorite things to do as a teacher is really getting to know each student. I feel that having respectable and caring relationships with my students helps me teach each one of them better.  I am very excited to be here at Sacred Heart and I am looking forward for the year to come!
