About Mrs. Trout
Hi! My name is RoAnn Trout. I am the 5th grade teacher at Sacred Heart Area School. I was born and raised in Staples, where I attended Sacred Heart in grades 1 – 6. I graduated from Staples High School in 1980.
I attended college at St. Cloud State University. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1984.
I started teaching fifth grade at Sacred Heart in 1986. I have been married to my husband Alan for 25 years and we have a 13 year old son, Ryan, who is in 8th grade this year.
I love seeing all of the spiritual and academic growth that goes on in each of the students year after year. It is very rewarding to see that many of our former students are now sending their own children to our wonderful school.

About the 5th Grade
Hi from the fifth grade. Wow! Time flies when we work hard.
The students have been very busy with school work and projects. They wrote reports on monkeys and Christopher Columbus. In math, they are cruising along. Multiplication is our topic. We finished Unit 2 in reading and will be starting a new novel unit.
We will be participating in one of our community service projects on Friday. They will help with Halloween games at the care center.
